CPC Fund V Announces Swift & Co. Exit
Carson Private Capital Fund V, LP and CPC Swift SBS, LP announced the sale of Swift & Company to JBS S.A., the parent of Friboi, Latin America's largest beef processor, in an all-cash transaction representing an enterprise value of approximately $1.4 billion, forming the world's largest beef processing company.
CPC Fund V, LP and CPC Swift SBS, LP participated in the acquisition of Swift & Co. from ConAgra Foods with HM Capital Partners (Formerly Hicks, Muse, Tate & Furst) in September 2002.
Swift & Co. is the second largest fresh meat company in the world, with a diversified portfolio that includes U.S. Beef, U.S. Pork, and Swift Australia, the largest beef processor in Australia.
