CPC Europe Fund I Announces Hillsdown Holdings (Premier Brands) Acquisition
Carson Private Capital Europe Fund I announced its participation in the $1.5 billion acquisition of Hillsdown Holdings by Hicks Muse (Europe) in a public-to-private transaction.
Headquartered in London, Hillsdown Holdings is a leading producer of branded food products in the UK. Following acquisition the business was renamed Premier Brands.
In the UK, Premier Brands is the largest producer of canned goods, the leading producer of tea and chocolate powdered drinks and a market leader in biscuits and jams.
Premier Brands represents Carson Private Capital Europe Fund I's second portfolio company acquisition.
