Brazos Energy I was a joint venture between Carson Private Capital and Vess Oil Corporation formed to acquire GE Capital’s ownership in 23,000 acres of proved producing (141 vertical oil wells) and undeveloped leasehold in Brazos and Smith Counties, Texas. The joint venture further developed the acreage through a successful six-well horizontal drilling program. The investment was realized through the issuance of the VOC Energy Trust (NYSE: VOC).
